CHRIST THE KING PRAYER CHAPEL

A Beacon of Hope, Faith, and Miracles

Christ the King Prayer Chapel stands as a vibrant testament to the transformative power of faith, prayer, and the Holy Spirit. Rooted in Pentecostal tradition, this dynamic ministry emphasizes the literal truth of Scripture, the gifts of the Spirit, and a life of holiness marked by divine encounters. From its humble beginnings to its global reach, the chapel has become a sanctuary where worshippers experience God’s presence through passionate praise, speaking in tongues, and miracles that testify to His power. With the motto “Find God For Yourself”

(Deuteronomy 4:29), the church challenges individuals to pursue an intimate, personal relationship with the Almighty, believing His power is available to all who earnestly seek Him.

From Brokenness to Anointed Visionary

Prophetess Fanta T. Toure’s journey is a radiant story of redemption, courage, and divine destiny. Born into a Muslim family in Liberia, she faced life’s storms with resilience but yearned for deeper purpose. Her transformative moment came when her Christian friend, Sarah Tarr, invited her to an evening service at the Church of the Lord Aladura on Center Street. Though Sarah feared backlash for inviting a Muslim woman, Fanta’s hunger for truth outweighed fear. That very night, as Fanta stepped into her first Christian worship service, the Holy Spirit overwhelmed her, igniting a fire that would forever change her life.

Baptized soon after, Fanta’s devotion to Christ became unshakable. With a small band of faithful supporters, she began hosting prayer gatherings in a single room, moving from house to house, holding fervent “tarries” (night-long prayer vigils). Her spiritual zeal and prophetic gifts caught the attention of Sister Elfreda Nike Akintewe, the first female President of the “Christ the King Prayer Band,” who saw God’s calling on Fanta’s life. Encouraged by Sister Elfreda, Fanta stepped into her divine assignment, officially founding  “Christ the King Prayer Band” on  June 10, 1982, at Ducal Palace Hotel in Monrovia, Liberia. Under her leadership, the ministry blossomed into   Christ the King Prayer Chapel, a name now synonymous with miracles, deliverance, and radical faith.

Prophetess Fanta’s anointing as a spiritual leader grew as God used her to draw multitudes to Christ, demonstrating His power through healings, prophetic declarations, and breakthroughs. Her message resonated deeply: “God is no respecter of persons—His power is for anyone who diligently seeks Him.” In 2007, after migrating to the United States, she planted a thriving branch of the chapel in     Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, extending her ministry’s reach across continents.

Today, Prophetess Fanta T. Toure stands as a spiritual mother, mentor, and trailblazer. Her life—a Muslim girl turned mighty woman of God—inspires believers to embrace their God-given identity and walk in boldness. Through trials and triumphs, she remains anchored in her mission: to lead souls to Christ, equip disciples, and prove that with God, all things are possible.

Christ the King Prayer Chapel continues to thrive as a global hub of Pentecostal worship, where the Holy Spirit moves freely, chains are broken, and lives are reborn. From Liberia to Philadelphia, Prophetess Fanta’s legacy echoes the truth she lives by: “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually” (Psalm 105:4).

Prophetess Fanta’s extraordinary journey with the chapel’s mission, emphasizing perseverance, divine encounters, and the power of saying “yes” to God’s call.
